Control in the area of protection of classified information and security clearance is usually initiated by the delivery of the document "Notification of initiation of control" to the data box of the inspected person. Attached to this document is also the "Authorisation" document, which contains the names, surnames and service card numbers of all inspectors participating in the specific inspection. The inspection mandate is approved and electronically signed by the Director of the NSA.

3. How long will the control in the area of protection of classified information and security capability last?

This question cannot be answered unequivocally. The time taken to carry out an inspection varies mainly in relation to its complexity. This depends mainly on the number of classified documents that are stored with the inspected person, the number of secure areas that the inspected person has and the number of natural persons who have access to classified information with the inspected person. An important factor influencing the length of the check is also whether the inspected person has an information and communication system dedicated to handling classified information, or whether a register of classified information is established for the inspected person.

4. Who will have to be present during the control in the area of protection of classified information and security clearance?

The cooperation of the Security Director is essential for the performance of the inspection. However, with regard to certain provisions of Act No. 412/2005 Coll., on the protection of classified regulations and on security eligibility, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"), and other implementing legislation, it is possible that the presence of the responsible person, the security administrator of the information system, or the person in charge of the negotiation protocol will be required during the inspection.

5. Where will the control in the area of protection of classified information and security clearance take place?

In the course of the inspection, compliance with the requirements arising from the Act and implementing legislation in the field of physical security will be checked, among other things, and compliance with the requirements for the registration and handling of classified documents will also be checked. For this reason, the inspection will take place either directly in the secure area or at the registered office of the inspected person. The specific place of inspection is specified prior to the start of the inspection by the head of the control group.

6. What form does the output of the control take in the area of protection of classified information and security clearance?

The outcome of the inspection is a report on the outcome of the inspection, which is a document divided into individual ways of implementing the protection of classified information, which are processed by individual controllers. The head of the control group amends the protocol in order to create a single document, which is then transmitted to the inspected person.

7. How is the control of the protection of classified information terminated?

The inspection can be completed in several ways. The first way of terminating the inspection is the vain expiry of the legal period for lodging objections or waiving the right to lodge objections. The second way of completing the inspection is to deliver the resolution of objections to the inspection findings.
