If the certificate of a natural person or the "NATO" certificate is lost/damaged/thefted, its holder is obliged to immediately notify the Office of this fact in writing (Section 66(1)(c) of the Act). 

If you still need to be their holder, you need to apply in writing in free form for the issuance of a new certificate of a natural person or a certificate "NATO", namely within 15 days. You can do so:

1. through the NBÚ Portal (After logging in through the bank identity or data box of an individual, you select an option Notification of loss, damage/theft of a natural person’s certificate),

2. a data box set up for a natural person,

3. the Delivery of the Electronic Filing Office This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with a recognised electronic signature established for private purposes,

4. sending by post or by the holder of a special postal licence the address The Office. 

If the certificate of a natural person or the "NATO" certificate is damaged, you are obliged to return it to the Office within 15 days.

Information on the validity of a "NATO certificate"/certificate of a natural person

"NATO Certificate" is a public document.

The period of validity of the "NATO certificate" (Section 57(4) of the Act) can be as long as the validity Certificate of natural person"NATO certificate" shall, however, in principle be issued for as long as is strictly necessary.

Validity Certificate of natural person (Section 55 of the Act) is:

1. for the degree Confidential, Secret 10 years,

2. for Grade Top Secret 5 years.
