Standards used to evaluate Compromising Radiation (CV) information systems (IS) and Secured Areas (SA):

  • Evaluation of IS (identification of IS class) is carried out according to NATO SDIP-27/2 or EU IASG 7-03 and partly also according to the adopted European standard for the evaluation of interference levels of commercial information technology equipment ČSN EN 55022.
  • Assessment of premises (identification of the zone of space) is carried out in accordance with NATO document SDIP-28/2 or EU standard IASG 7-02.
  • IS installation evaluation in the IB, it is implemented according to NATO standard SDIP-29/2 or EU standard IASG 7-01.
  • The control of secure areas against unauthorised use of technical means to obtain information is carried out in accordance with the NBÚ security standard 2/2011.

IS evaluation documents (e.g. computer reports):

  • SDIP-27 /2: The NATO document.
  • IASG 7-03: EU document.

These standards contain a methodology for measuring the levels of compromising electromagnetic signals emitted by IS components, such as computers, printers, etc., and the respective limits. According to the methodology of these documents, the equipment (IS) is classified into Classes 0 to 2 or Level A to Level C. These are compatible Confidential documents.

Measurement and evaluation of IS according to these standards is carried out only by the NÚKIB and the workplace with which the NÚKIB has concluded a contract for such activities (according to the law No. 412/2005 Coll.).

  • ČSN EN 55022 - civil Czech standard taken from the European standard. Based on the results of measurements according to this standard, a so-called "Declaration of Conformity" is issued by the manufacturer or importer. According to Act No. 22/1997 Coll., every electronic device sold in the Czech Republic should be tested according to this or similar foreign standard, and should have a "Declaration of Conformity". Devices (IS) complying with this standard are generally classified as Class 2 devices.

Documents for the evaluation of premises:

  • SDIP-28/2: The NATO document.
  • IASG 7-02: EU document.
  • Classification of spaces in terms of compromising electromagnetic radiation - safety standard NBÚ 1/2007 ver. 1.0.

These documents contain a general methodology for measuring attenuation and set attenuation limit values for individual zones. According to this document, the premises are divided into zones 0 to 2. These are compatible Restricted to Confidential documents.

IS installation document:

  • SDIP-29/2: The NATO document.
  • IASG 7-01: EU document.
  • Installation of equipment with regard to compromising electromagnetic radiation - safety standard NBÚ 2/2007 ver. 2.0.

These documents set out requirements for specific IS locations in secure areas, in particular for minimum distances from metallic lines and other electronic devices or the use of network filters. The specific requirements for the installation of IS components are determined by the combination of the class of equipment, the zone of the premises where the equipment is installed and the classification level of the information processed. These are compatible Restricted to Confidential documents.
