(hereinafter referred to as “measurement”)

  1. Each measurement shall be carried out upon request, except in the context of the Information System (IS) certification process, where an IS volume number is already assigned to the system.
  2. The order of measurement of individual devices is determined by the date of receipt of the request for measurement (the date of assignment of the reference number or the date of delivery of the request from the employee to whom the NÚKIB certification of the given IS is assigned).
  3. A change in the ranking of individual applicants can only be made with the consent of the Director of the Information and Communication Technology Security (OBIT) Department.
  4. The measurement request shall have the following elements:
    • identification of the applicant (in the case of a natural person, name and surname, in the case of an entrepreneur, name of the company, in the case of a state authority, name or part),
    • contact address of the applicant, e-mail and telephone number of the contact person,
    • list of individual components of the measured equipment (name, type, serial number, number of pieces),
    • a diagram of the wiring (connection) of the individual components, including a description of the types of cables and connectors,
    • the classification level of the information processed on the equipment; and
  5. for IS in the certification process, the number of the volume that has been allocated within the initiation of the IS certification and the name of the employee to whom the NÚKIB certification of that IS is allocated
  6. As a rule, the applicant is informed by telephone or e-mail of the delivery of the measurement request. In case of incomplete requirements, the applicant will be asked to complete them.
  7. The applicant will be asked in advance to deliver the measured equipment to the NÚKIB (by phone, e-mail). The exact date and time of delivery of the equipment and the contact person at NÚKIB will be determined. The applicant shall provide, no later than one day in advance, the data necessary for the handling of the vehicle's entry into the premises (SPZ, first name and surname and, in justified cases, the identification card number of the worker who will transmit the equipment).
  8. The measured equipment will be handed over to the TEMPEST staff on the basis of the handover protocol supplied by the applicant.
    • The handover protocol shall contain the following information:
    • a list of individual components of the measured device (name, type, serial number) in paper and electronic form on a CD, diskette, or other storage medium or sent in advance by e-mail,
    • Contact the responsible person
    • the name and surname of the transferring person;
  9. the signatures of the transmitting and accepting person; and
  10. the date of transmission.
  11. The transmitted measurement equipment must be complete, including all peripherals and, if applicable, a network filter, must be pre-tested by the applicant, fully functional, in HW configuration in which it will be used for the processing of classified information, with installed components (printers, etc.), without any passwords, for a PC with full administrative rights with the possibility to turn off all energy savers and energy saver, with a fully functional operating system (Windows, Unix) and set working parameters (graphic adapter resolution and vertical frequency for monitors, etc.).
  12. In the case of more complex systems or problems in the operation of the measured equipment, the participation of a representative of the applicant in the connection and commissioning of the equipment prior to the actual measurement is possible upon agreement.
  13. The TEMPEST officer taking over the equipment shall notify the transmitter of the approximate date of completion of the measurement.
