The National Security Authority certification procedure was last updated in March 2026. When the certification procedure for mechanical barriers was updated in Annex 1.2.

In connection with the amendment to Act No 412/2005 on the protection of classified information and on security capability, as amended (‘Act No 412/2005’) and subsequent amendments to Implementing Decree No 528/2005 on physical security and certification of technical means, as amended (‘Decree No 528/2005’), information is provided on changes in the certification of technical means used for the protection of classified information.

The amendment to Decree No. 528/2005 Coll. deleted the possibility of issuing certificates on the basis of declarations of the same composition and performance and further cancelled certification for technical devices that are not evaluated and classified in classes or grades. These are the technical means referred to in point (1) of Section 30 of Act No 412/2005 under points (d), (f), (g) and (i), i.e.:

  • special television systems,
  • fire alarm equipment,
  • equipment for the search for dangerous substances or objects,
  • equipment against passive and active interception of classified information.

The National Security Authority therefore issues certificates, only on the basis of a certificate of conformity issued by an accredited body in accordance with the certification procedure of the NSA, for the following technical means:
